Bishop Leonard Scott - Top 20 debut - Free Concert in hometown

Bishop Leonard Scott’s latest CD/DVD release ‘BE LIFTED UP’ on Tyscot Records hit stores across the nation a couple of weeks ago and just last week had a top-20 debut on Billboard’s Gospel Charts. The CD entered at #18 with a bullet. “This is Bishop’s highest charting debut ever,” says Bryant Scott – President/Tyscot Records. “We are proud of this release”.

Show Hope- Change For Orphans Raises $340,000 Impacting 100 Families!

Nashville, TN – April 28, 2008 – Shaohannah’s Hope continues to show hope for the millions of orphans around the world. In one of its many efforts, the ministry perseveres with its effective “Change for Orphans” campaign.

Since Fall 2007 through March 2008, over $340,000 was raised through “Change for Orphans,” with approximately 100 families impacted through this effort held during the Steven Curtis Chapman nationwide concert tour. In turn, this effort left a positive mark on each city visited during the tour and motivated people to give and help make a change for orphans.

Nasser wins first Dove Award

(April 24, 2008) – Nashville, TN - Self-published author and now acclaimed songwriter David Nasser walked away with his first-ever Dove Award last night at the 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards. He won for writing the Inspirational Recorded Song of the year, “By His Wounds,” which he co-wrote with Mac Powell. The song was recorded by Powell, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mark Hall, and Brian Littrell. “By His Wounds” is from the project Nasser conceptualized, Glory Revealed, which won the Special Event Album of the year award.

( Nashville , Tenn. ) April 24, 2008 – Last night, Word Music Publishing’s Bernie Herms was honored with several Dove Awards including “Song of the Year” for Casting Crowns’ “East to West” at the 39th Annual Gospel Music Awards. Songwriter Cindy Morgan also took home a Dove Award for “Songwriter of the Year” for “How You Live (Turn Up The Music), a song from her Word Music Publishing catalog.

Skillet And Disciple Rock The 2008 GMA Dove Awards

Nashville, Tenn. … April 24, 2008 … Atlantic/Ardent/INO artist Skillet and INO Record’s Disciple are celebrating rock wins at last night’s 39th annual GMA Dove Awards with each bringing home their first career statues.

After 16 nominations, Skillet won “Rock Recorded Song of the Year” for “Comatose” written by John Cooper and Brian Howes from their 2006 release of the same name. “The GMA Award show was absolutely awesome! It made me feel even more proud to be a part of the Christian music industry. Winning the Dove was an unexpected highlight of the night, second only to saying ‘Hi’ to Amy Grant and giving her a high five,” says Skillet front man John Cooper. Skillet is currently headlining their COMATOSE tour and selling out numerous venues across the country, recently including New York City’s Grand Ballroom.
