Charles Wright Debuts His Song for Darfur at Africa Achievement Awards in Bev Hills

Published on

Los Angeles–Wednesday, May 30, 2007–The crisis in Darfur continues and the situation grows more grave with each passing day. Although President Bush has ordered new U.S. economic sanctions to pressure Sudan’s government to halt the genocide in Darfur, the killing continues indiscriminately, engulfing men women and children in a murderous rampage. With so much bloodshed and violence in Darfur, it is important to remember the youngest victims of this maniacal mayhem. With that in mind, Charles Wright has written a song that he has dedicated to the children of Darfur entitled “God Bless The Children” from his new CD “Finally Got It Wright. ” Wright will sing the song publicly for the first time at The Africa Achievement Awards gala dinner honoring Ghana’s Golden Jubilee at the Beverly Hills Hotel this Friday, June 1, in the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom at 8 PM. The special guest of honor will be the newly inducted Ga Mantse, King Tackie Tawiah III, King of The Ga’s, Republic of Ghana and His Royal Delegation.

Introducing Al Henderson

A new day for gospel music has broke the horizon with the release of the long awaited “NEW DAY” album by veteran musician and songwriter Al Henderson. The project is a ten track offering containing songs of praise, worship, exaltation, and adoration to God, learning to trust Him more, love and forgiveness for one another with God’s help, and His unconditional, incredible love for all mankind. The album’s music styles range from smooth R&B and mid-tempo soul type ballads with phat vocal harmonies, to upbeat funk, flavored with a touch rock and jazz. This is Al’s first CD since “Ultimate Lifestyle”, which was released in 1995. Al considers the new album to be his re-entry back into the gospel music industry. “These past 12 years I’ve learned a lot from my Heavenly Father, and I’ve also learned a lot about life in general”. ” I pray that this album will help bring a New Day of love, hope, trust, and victory to the hearts of people everywhere.

P.S. the music soundclips are mono, the album sounds 200% better than the soundclips.
