Detroit, Michigan has never been short on musical talent. One of the very talented individuals on that long list of musicians is recording artist Mark Holley. Holley is a passionate singer/songwriter who has the ability to write heartfelt songs that cross boundaries. The title track “What A Friend” is a moving song that has found favor with Program Director’s in several major markets.

Together with One-A-Chord, which has been together for 10 strong years, Holley has assembled a group of worshipers who flow in unison in passion for Christ. Nowhere is this passion more evident than on “My First Love”. Beautifully written and wonderfully composed, the song is a testimony to the love Jesus. Other songs that should be noted are “He’s Real”, “Sacrifice of Praise”, and “We Are One.” The CD has a no frills quality to it that I love. It doesn’t come across as contrived or forced. Holley has managed to take his heart and put it on a CD for the listener to share in his quiet time with God.
