On this album, Bishop Paul S. Morton successfully demonstrates a lyrical and versatile vocalist. The musical genre on this album does not display your typical gospel sound recording. The instrumental blend of jazz-fusion, hard/easy/soft rock, ballads and traditional country gospel – accompanied by soul stirring messages – makes this recording a healthy mix of inspirational songs for the soul.

The musical versatility on this album is flavorful: the first song, He is Mighty, is about the declaration and exaltation of God’s power, and is accompanied by instrumentation of rock music that empowers the believer; while That’s Reason Enough is a worshipful ballad that reminds any listener of the goodness of God. Bishop Morton also features fellow Detroit-native, Aretha Franklin, in the encouraging and album-titled song Seasons Change; and for a taste of country gospel quartet-style singing, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson is featured in A Mighty Good Friend. The theme of this album is mostly about healing, restoration and encouragement that one often needs while living in a world that can seem so cold and unbearable. To minister to our everyday spiritual needs, Bishop Morton includes songs like Storm Chaser, Alone, Let The Healing Begin, and You Can Make It. The vocals, the various musical styles and the message of this album make it a success. With every song, this recording is a spiritually uplifting.
