There is only one thing that is traditional about this Christmas album and that is the messages. Martha Munizzi makes each familiar song her own by adding soulful vocals and a delicate mix of musical style, O Come Emanuel definitely begins to take us this rich musical journey with a salsa up-tempo style. There are very familiar titles on this album but by no means do I advise you to be fooled, “White Christmas” simply took my breath away, never has anyone heard a “White Christmas” like this, but this song refers to spiritual rebirth.

Martha Munizzi has included many originals on this album some include: Peace on Earth, When He Came, His Name Shall Be Called, and White Christmas. Some co-writers include Israel Houghton, Aaron Lindsey, Mary Alessi (Martha’s twin sister), and Martha herself. She has successfully merged the traditional songs with new twists in a powerful fashion. This is more than just a Christmas album, but an album that contains a theme with such diversity, that many praise and worship leaders would agree could be sung all year around.
