Few artists are able to record music that is embraced by both the black gospel community as well as the CCM community like Vicki Yohe. Since recording her rendition of Martha Munizzi's praise ballad 'Because of Who You Are', which became a radio hit in 2004 and brought her first Dove Award nomination, Yohe's rise in the gospel industry has been meteoric. Now Yohe is stirring more souls with her new CD release, He's Been Faithful on the CeCe Winans owned PureSprings Gospel label imprint.

He's Been Faithful, an 11-track CD project, was produced by Sanchez Harley (who has worked with Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Rizen and Aretha Franklin) and co-produced by Ay'Ron Lewis (Rizen). The CD production is strong, and Yohe's soothing voice captivates a listener's attention throughout the project.

From top to bottom, He's Been Faithful is loaded with sweet songs of praise and worship. My personal favorites are 'Deliverance I Available To You' (which is a gospel radio single), 'I'll Run to You' (which is also a single for the AC and INSPO markets), 'At Your Feet' and 'I Simply Love You'.

Based upon the quality of the songs, Yohe's increased visibility through tours (she just completed the 'One Church Tour' with Smokie Norful, Kurt Carr and Rizen in October), and her ability to appeal to a wide Christian audience, this CD should become a big selling project for Yohe and the PureSprings Gospel label. I recommend this CD to Christian music lovers who enjoy spending time in the presence of the Father.
