It's THA FUTURE, the only tools necessary for survival are Cash and Computa.Trendsetters for the new millenium, they want you to look past the exterior andrecognize their talent. The Digital Dons hail outta the Big Apple. Cash is from Canarsie, Brooklyn and Computa from Uptown, Spanish Harlem. It's a mock UnitedNations respresented in the duo . Cash's familial origins are in Italy. Computais of a multi-racial decent, he is both African American and Puerto Rican.Together, with their forces combined, they are THA FUTURE.

Representing with an indie label, the two want to pave the way for all the 'Digital Dons and Divas'. Why not a Columbia or Sony deal? Computa wanted, " a company thatcould spend more time with the artist and focus on the artist individually". Select Records, of Chubb Rock and Kid-n-Play fame, was the answer.

"HowY'all Want It ?!" is the first single to be released from their debut. The production is tight, there are strings, trumpets, and a pounding bass line. Itwas done by O'Shea; you've probably heard of him from his work with Mary J.Blige and Destiny's Child. The song is a metaphoric comparison of the group'sstyle to a certain hustling life that Computa's not ashamed to admit he's takenpart in. "How Y'all want it/ Coked, smoked, doped, or blunted?" Whilea number of the rappers today simplyrap about the lifestyle, the duo have done it and lived it. As a matter offact, Rich Porter, a hustler that Jay-Zrhymes about is a close family friend of Computa's. The group asks, "Nowthat I'm in the right position, how y'all want it?" When these otherperformers where just starting to rhyme about platinum and 'hot keys'; theseballers were already pushing it. & quot; A lot of people been chewed off mystyle...These are things that I've been doing for years already. I just didn'thave the opportunity to bring it out musically."

The twoalready recognize that a successful future in the business depends on"creativity and reinvention". Although being admittedly influenced byRedman and the like, the group have plans, they know what it is that they wantto do. There are aspirations of the mainstream. & quot;Hip hop has become a partof everyday life. Everyone has a little piece of hip hop in them, it might bein the way that you tie your shoes.Hip hop is universal now. It's about anyonewilling to get down with the culture." If you want to get your hands onthis hot new single, check out mix shows, college radio, their upcomingcommercial, the underground and clubs. & quot; It's gonna sell itself," thegroup prophecies.

Whenasked of the moniker, THA FUTURE, Computa responded, & quot; I came up with thisname about 6 or 7 years ago. I want to represent the future, the millenium.Everything that's getting ready to come to pass." Both representing thestreets, Cash and Computa want to bring their side of the story. "If youwant to get into the future with a thought that you gon' hear some new hotmillenium artist, we gon' be the trendsetters..."
