New York, NY – (July 30, 2008) – The internationally-acclaimed African Children’s Choir was invited to perform at the White House today (July 30th) for a bill signing ceremony held for the renewal and expansion of the Global AIDS Initiative (H.R. 5501). The ceremony was hosted by President George W. Bush and took place in the Grand Foyer of the White House for members of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The initiative affects many children in Africa , so it is a cause very dear to the Choir. They were honored to perform to celebrate its expansion and renewal.
